Is Meghan Right For You?

I’m not a soft and fluffy therapist. I love to help people laugh about the absurdities in life— like the idea of “normal” (Ha! No such thing.) My goal is to help you let go of the idea there is a “right” way to exist so you can learn to just be. I can help you build up your confidence so you can face the many challenges and changes life brings.

The most critical element of healing is the relationship between therapist and client. That starts with honesty and self-disclosure. I’ll start! I’m a neurodivergent, queer-identified, body-positive therapist. I am an artist, part-time perfectionist, and a dog lover. I celebrate self-discovery and adaptation in my personal life, and in my office. When we meet, I hope you feel supported, comforted, and safe sharing about the complexities of your life.

I support clients in processing eating disorders, LGBTQIA+ issues, ADHD/Neurodivergence, and body image from a trauma-informed, affirming, and anti-diet lens. You have a choice in your healing- and you deserve to be the most authentic version of yourself!

“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.”
― Carl Jung

She/Her/Hers

I’m Meghan

My desire to advocate for justice and healing in creative, supportive ways led me to Adler University in Chicago, where I completed my master’s degree in Counseling & Art therapy. While in school, I practiced as a therapist-intern for organizations focused on community engagement, providing support and access to care for underrepresented populations. I graduated in 2015 and moved to California to complete my post-degree licensure training in sexual trauma, addictions, and eating disorder treatment.

I am currently licensed to practice in California and Colorado.

I have experience and training in Art therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and more. Together, we will use these theories in session to look at your personal goals, uncover which pieces work for you, and leave the rest on the shelf.

I always treat body image and eating disorders from a Heath At Every Size lens- accepting all bodies and providing education on how body size is not a functional determination of health or disorder.

On a normal day, I practice my humanness— unlearning and shifting awareness within my own growth and bias, trying to make room for self-care, walking with my aging pup, exploring new places with my partner, changing my hair color, or making messes with art and home projects.
