Why Art Therapy?


Art therapy is one of many approaches to therapy and trauma treatment. Art offers us an alternative to spoken language that can reveal new information, express what we cannot say, and rewrite old narratives we no longer want to define us.

Art therapy can help you deal with strong emotions, increase your self-awareness and self-worth, and decrease stress/anxiety. Don’t worry! You don’t have to be an “artist” for it to work! Just the act of creating art can support our minds in processing information indirectly.
